Pubg Xbox S

One of the first games I tested on Xbox Series X was PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. As a boomer, it is still my favorite battle royale, but I play on PC. A big reason for that is the game runs at 30 frames per second on console. And I was disappointed that it still ran at that framerate even with the next-gen power of the new Xbox. But since then, PUBG Corp. launched an update for PUBG's public test server that finally unlocks the framerate across all consoles. The result is that this last-player-standing shooter finally feels smooth and responsive on console.

Today, we're happy to announce that PUBG will be playable on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 5 from day one! If you are a current-gen PUBG Console player, you'll be able to continue playing the game on next-gen consoles at no extra cost with the same PUBG. With the release of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S now just two weeks away, the dev team for battle royale PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has unveiled how the game will run via backwards compatibility on the new systems. First, the specs. The Xbox Series X version will leverage the Xbox One X game build, allowing for 60 frames per-second via the Framerate Priority option. The PUBG hack works on both mobile, desktop PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds. UC & BP Hack Dress up your in-game character with the latest skin releases without having to shell out your hard earned money. The Xbox One S PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Bundle includes an Xbox One S console with a 1TB hard drive, built-in 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player and support for 4K video streaming. It also includes an Xbox Wireless Controller and, of course, a downloadable copy of PUBG.

PUBG runs excellently on Xbox Series X. The battle royale averages 60 frames per second on Xbox Series X while hitting an average framerate of 55 on Xbox One X. This is when the game is in Framerate mode, which sets the resolution to 1080p.

Above: But things aren't as close as they appear.

If you only look at the chart above, however, you might assume that the Xbox One X runs PUBG nearly as well as the Series X, but that isn't the whole story. First, the framerate runs at a nearly locked 60fps on Series X with only the most minor hiccups. The One X is much more inconsistent, and you can feel that during gameplay.

As a quick note, if you notice visual differences between the two versions, those all come down to the time and weather changes on the map.

Screen tearing is distracting in PUBG on Xbox One X

Even more noticeable is the screen tearing on Xbox One X. This version has a ton of noticeable tearing because it happens all up and down image. Run yosemite on windows 10. I tend not to notice tearing if it happens near the top of the frame or when you start getting into super-high refresh rates. But at 60Hz and dozens of back-to-back tears right in the meaty part of the image, it's really distracting.

The yellow lines in this picture represents a recent tear, and you'll notice that isn't happening at all on the Series X version.

Above: Lots ‘o tearing.

Overall, the Xbox Series X version feels like the way the game was meant to be played. It maintains a more consistent framerate, and it does so without creating unsightly tearing. If you plug a keyboard and mouse into your Series X, the experience is going to closely mimic the PC. And that's high praise for this particular game.

PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) is a competitive survival shooter formally developed/published by Bluehole. PUBG is now being developed by PUBG Corp, a Bluehole subsidiary company [1] in cooperation with Brendan Greene (PLAYERUNKNOWN) as the Creative Director, PUBG is Greene's first standalone game.

Players are dropped into a wide, open area, and they must fight to the death - all while the battlefield shrinks, adding pressure to all in its grip. Use a variety of interesting weapons and vehicles amid the BATTLEGROUNDS. 'Killing off another player cuts down on your competition, but it also offers up the opportunity to grab some loot. Your character can only carry around a limited amount of gear, so there are important questions to ask whenever you come across new items. Is it better to stick with your current 9mm pistol, or hold out hope that you'll be able to find ammo for a found 12 gauge shotgun?'

BATTLEGROUNDS is running on Unreal Engine 4, players take on the Battle Royale experience on a 8x8 km map called 'Erangel.' BATTLEGROUNDS is a good balance between Arma 3 and H1Z1.

Note: The Xbox version is being developed by a different studio located in Spain, not PUBG Corp located in Seoul [2]. They also had help from 'The Coalition' studio [3].

Background/back story?

Pubg Xbox S

BATTLEGROUNDS takes place on different islands (maps), but the main island for BATTLEGROUNDS is called Erangel. An abandoned Russian island where a military occupation was controlling the island. The military occupation tested chemical/biological experiments on the islands population, after a resistance attack on a biological facility, the island had to be abandoned.

Spawning into the game?

When you spawn, everyone in the game gets put in on a small island where you wait x amount of minutes to load into the game (here to make the players load into the game properly with all the assets, etc.). After the time limit is up during the starting area, you get teleported in a paradrop plane, you get flown over an area and then you get thrown out of a plane with a parachute. Once landed, loot spawns in different areas, it's based on the Arma 3 model, it's all random. The loot system is a lot more in-depth than H1Z1, so there will be more time spent farming for better weapons/attachments/armor, etc.

What can the player hold?

Depending on the players gear (vest 1 - 3 and backpack 1 - 3) you can hold as much as you can carry in your slots. A player can hold 2 primary weapons, 1 pistol, 1 melee weapon and grenades.

-- All weapons/items that are on the player or weapon itself don't take up inventory space in your backpack. You can have 1 grenade on your character, while any extra grenades you pick up take up space.
